Tournament Structure:
The structure for Grand Prix trial tournaments will be modified-Swiss style, with a cut to top players playing in single elimination for prizes and byes based on attendance. The correct number of Swiss rounds based on the number of players playing in your tournament:
8 Players: 3 Rounds, Single-elimination
9-16 Players: 4 Rounds, cut to Top 4 Single -Elimination
17-32 Players: 5 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination
33-64 Players: 6 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination
65-128 Players: 7 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination
129-226 Players: 8 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination
227-409 Players: 9 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination
410+ Players: 10 Rounds, cut to top 8 Single-Elimination

Invitation and eligibility:
Trial tournaments are open to all DCI members in good standing.
If a player who already possesses a three-round bye finishes high enough to win another bye at a Grand Prix Trial, that bye will not be passed down to the next eligible player.

Byes are awarded based on attendance of each Grand Prix Trial:
Attendance
8-32: 1 player receives 3 round byes
33-64: 2 players receives 3 round byes
65-128: 4 players receives 3 round byes
129+: 8 players receives 3 round byes

Prizes Awarded:
1st: AirAsia flight ticket to Manila or RM500 (Yes... Ya are reading this correctly. ^^)
2nd: 24 Worldwake boosters *
3rd/4th: 16 Worldwake boosters
5th-8th: 8 Worldwake boosters
9th-16th : 3 Worldwake boosters
17th onwards: 1 Worldwake booster

*The 2nd placing player will receives AirAsia flight ticket to Manila or RM500 if the turnout of the event is 64 players or better.
